Day 14: Stir Up the Gift Within You

Day 14: Stir Up the Gift Within You
“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.” – 2 Timothy 1:6 (NKJV)

It’s one thing to discover your gift—it’s another to stir it up.
Gifts can lie dormant if we don’t tend to them. Like a fire that needs fanning, your spiritual gifts require your participation.
Paul reminded Timothy that the gift of God within him needed to be stirred. That word suggests intentionality. Movement. Action. It means not letting fear, passivity, or complacency keep us from stepping into what God has given us.
Have you grown weary in using your gifts? Have you compared them to others and decided they’re not as valuable? Have you let them sit unused, waiting for the “perfect time”? The time is now.
Divine success isn’t about waiting for ideal conditions. It’s about faithful obedience in the now. Stirring up your gift might look like praying boldly again, serving where there’s a need, or simply saying yes when God prompts your heart.
The gift is in you. Don’t let it grow cold. Fan the flame. Stir it up. Step forward in faith.
Prayer: Father, awaken the gifts You’ve placed within me. Help me to fan the flame and step boldly into the calling You’ve assigned to my life. Forgive me for the times I’ve allowed fear or discouragement to silence me. Today, I stir up the gift in faith and with fresh fire. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection:
What gift in your life needs stirring right now?
Have you allowed fear or discouragement to cause you to hold back?
What’s one step you can take today to fan the flame of your God-given gift?
