Day 13: God, Help Me Understand the Gifts You’ve Given Me

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)

Have you ever wondered, “What are my spiritual gifts?” You’re not alone. So many believers wrestle with understanding what God has placed inside them. The good news is—you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

God doesn’t hide His gifts from us. He wants us to discover them, develop them, and deploy them for His Kingdom. But discovering your gifts begins with seeking the Giver.
Ask God to reveal them. Reflect on what stirs your heart and energizes your spirit. Consider what others often affirm in you. Look at where you’ve seen fruit from your efforts. These are all clues to the gifts He’s already placed within you.

Your gifts may not look like someone else’s—and they’re not supposed to. God uniquely designed you for a divine purpose that only you can fulfill. Whether your gifts are public like teaching or behind-the-scenes like administration or craftsmanship—they all matter. They are all part of the body of Christ working together.

Don’t wait for perfection to start using them. Start small. Serve with what you know now, and God will reveal more as you move forward.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for the gifts You’ve placed within me. Help me to understand what they are and how to use them for Your glory. Give me wisdom, clarity, and the courage to step out in faith. May I be a faithful steward of Your grace in whatever form You’ve chosen to express it through me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflection:

  • What are some activities or roles that make you feel most alive and purposeful?
  • Has anyone ever affirmed a gift they see in you?
  • Are you willing to ask God daily to reveal, refine, and release the gifts He’s given you?
